The Bookprinter is the online division of Anchor Print, a long established commercial book printer based in Nelson, New Zealand. You’ll find Nelson at the top of the South Island.

With around 2700 sunshine hours per year, and surrounded by 3 national parks we live in one of the most beautiful areas of New Zealand.

Our New Zealand customers already know this of course, but we have overseas customers who are not so familiar with our location. Google us and we will give you a wave!

Our book printing origins go back over 100 years.

In the 1980’s we acquired the business of Betts Printing, one of the pioneer book printing companies in our region, Their expertise in fine book printing using traditional craft printing processes was legendary, with three generations of family members involved in the business.

Today we still have much of their equipment and although our printing is now produced on sophisticated digital machines, the legacy of craftsmanship remains.

We know book printing like few others, even down to the small details, such as which typefaces (fonts) are best for books, and which papers will enhance the look and feel of your publication.
