Which is right for you? Digital vs Offset Printing

Digital Printing has clearly revolutionised the way we do printing.

At Anchor Print our point of difference is that we are experts in both Digital and traditional Offset Printing. We have a great deal of experience and advice that we're more than happy to share with our clients.

Let's take a look at the advantages of each printing method:

Advantages of Digital

  • Lower cost per unit for shorter runs (no money tied up in plates or machine set up costs).
  • Faster turn-around times (no ink drying time required).
  • Variable Data printing so each page can be unique or personalised.
  • Instant Proofing. You can easily see what quality you will get and be assured every copy will look the same.
  • Less waste.

Advantages of Offset

  • Lower cost per unit for longer runs (Unit cost goes down as print quantity goes up).
  • Better Quality with smoother rendition of photos and background tones.
  • More paper options (Most digital devices require special papers and smooth finishes, which can make the use of linen and laid finishes challenging or not possible).
  • Pantone Spot Colour and Metallic Ink options which gives brighter colours.

Making your decision...

Digital is clearly the best option for small runs needed in a hurry, as long as you don't need special papers or spot colours.

Or go with offset if you have a few extra days, need plenty, or have special corporate colours to match.

As your trusted partner, you can just leave us to make the decision for you. We know which printing method best suits your price, quality or delivery expectation.

If you wish to be involved, that’s fine. You're always welcome to contact one of our knowledgeable, super friendly Customer Service team for guidance! That’s Hamish, Megan and Chloe.

They will always be happy to help you choose the best solution for your project, and assist with meeting your budget and time-line.

Thinking of doing the print job on your own copier?

Your machine typically cost you $30,000. Ours cost $250,000.

Why the difference?

Quite simply we print on papers and cards you cannot, to a higher quality and usually much faster.

Typically it is the marketing and promotional material you need to “send to the experts” to ensure it looks right/feels right. More often than not you are compromising your corporate image by running the job on the office copier.

We have many corporate clients who are now realising it is neither cost effective nor are the results professional enough  to have a staff member tied up for hours or days on their office copier.

Sending the file to us is simple. Just send us the file by email and we will deliver the completed job back to you same day/next day (or whatever your delivery need is).

And meantime your staff can concentrate on the more important tasks in your office.

Contact us today and see how we can assist you with your print requirements.
